During a week long hackathon project we decided to solve for supply chain risk admins and address their pain points with how they were viewing events and asking themseleves, "How does this impact our supply chain, and who has eyes on this?" With the help of engineers and applied ai teams, we were able to build a mobile solution that could quickly answer questions for admins and help them make decisions faster in times of confusion.

Background & Goal
Background & Goal
When a high profile risk event breaks across multiple news sources, Interos admins are often away from their desks. Without a quick way to see what’s happening, they’re left guessing at the impact and at what their analysts are doing about it. Admins don’t need the full analysis. They need a high level summary and the ability to put the right analyst on the event so the detailed assessment gets written. I designed the mobile experience of the Interos web app to give admins three things on the go: timely notifications about significant events, the ability to assign analysts directly, and visibility into mitigation plan updates. The goal was to let admins stay informed and act quickly without waiting until they were back at a workstation.

Defining the Approach
Defining the Approach
Our biggest constraint was data. To show admins a useful event summary, we first had to understand how events moved through our pipeline and find a way to condense complex relationship data for a phone screen. I worked with the data and engineering teams to map use cases, wireframe key flows, and pressure test what we could deliver in our timeline.
We focused on three areas:
Notifications: how alerts surface high-risk events and what they tell admins at a glance
Primary actions: the core actions admins need, like assigning an analyst, without a desktop
AI agent support: the agent helps admins decide whether an event needs further analyst assessment, then drafts task details when they assign it

Solution & Outcomes
Solution & Outcomes
We delivered two things: a functional mobile app ready to ship, and an interactive prototype previewing what didn’t fit our timeline. The app gave admins the core experience of receiving notifications, assigning analysts, and following mitigation updates. The prototype explored company search, a report of all activity for a company, and a deeper AI experience, all built to support product discovery.
Product and tech leadership responded positively. We’ve started planning feedback sessions with the customers most eager for a mobile experience, the same customers who first raised the idea. Those sessions will let us validate our assumptions and uncover new ones before we invest in the next phase.
